OK, OK, I know. I was the one that started the thread on "SLIP ONS" in this section and I ended up getting a full system. I would have put slip ons on if I did it myself, but I found a shop that has done flies out and everything else....so I handed it off to them for everything. Full Akra c/F hex system, flies out, block off plates, PCIII with a custom map and, while I was at it I had them put on a +1 rear sprocket.I do get the dreaded decel pop on occasion without a TRE but if I'm not goofing off with it, it just don't happen.
And about the sound of the pipe? Nice. I'm not used to the volume level yet. Not obnoxious but nice. I did install the DB killer for a scoot around town to try it. It takes all of 2 minutes to install and it brings the level down to pretty much stock sound level. Pretty unbelievable that little thing can deaden it so much. I took it back out though. If I don't get used to the sound, I can always default to putting it back in, I guess.
What a nice increase in "fun factor". Power went from 165HP completely stock on their dyno to 178.5 without the DB killer when they finished (172 HP with the DB killer IN).
I'll post a couple pics after it stops raining (probably in another week....weather sucks here).
